No7 Beautiful Cleansing Brush
I have always been curious about trying a face cleaning system but I was hesitant to spend hundreds of pounds on one in case I didn't like it. I saw this No7 one in my local Boots store about 3 weeks ago and for £24.95 I thought why not give it a go. Here is how I got on...

The No7 Cleansing Brush is a hand held battery operated cleaning system for your face. It is a circular brush head that rotates as you move it across your face. It has two speed settings for a deeper clean.

Rotating brush head

How To Use

1. Remove any eye make-up

2. Apply your cleanser as normally instructed, leaving your cleanser generously covering your forehead, cheeks and chin

3. Wet the brush head and press the power button. The Cleansing Brush offers a choice of 2 speeds. Pressing the power button twice will increase the brush speed and will offer a deeper clean.

4. Gently massage your face with small circular movements focusing on your forehead, cheeks and chin for about 30 seconds

5. Wash away cleanser with warm water

My Thoughts

First of all I liked that this system is battery operated. For me, this is great as I don't have a plug in my bathroom and I know a few other systems on the market are conncted to a wire. It's also lightweight and comfortable to hold. The two speed settings are useful to control the intensity of exfoliation. This is great if you have particular problem areas and want to focus on them a bit more.

I used this system with my regular cleanser and I had great results after the first use. I am prone to quite dry spots around my nose and forehead and I found that it removed all of the dry skin from these areas. It definitley left my face feeling soft and very clean, much cleaner than if I had just used my hands to wash my face. It also made it look alot brighter and healthier. I found the first speed setting is more than capable of deep cleaning and exfoliating my face. When I turned it up to the second speed setting I thought it was a little too rough for me. If you have sensitive skin I wouldn't recommend using the second speed.

After the first week of using it three times a week I noticed that the overall appearance of my skin had improved. My dry spots where almost gone and in general my face felt alot softer. I had a few break outs on my forehead and chin but I read that cleansing systems bring all your spots to get rid of them!

After three weeks of using it my skin looks so much better! My dry spots have disappeared and my pores are significantly reduced. My skin is softer healthier and brighter.

Having not used a face cleaning system before I have nothing to compare this to. After getting on well with this one I would like to try another brand so I can give more of an opinion. I do really like this brush and for the price I think its a good alternative to other brands if you're on a budget. There are a few things about this brush I improve. I would like it if the brush head had some sort of protective cover for hygiene and storage reasons. For me theres nothing worse than getting dirt or fluff on something you're going to use on your face!
I'd also like to see some different styles of brush head to choose from. Maybe one for more sensitive skin and something else for different skin problems My skin is slightly sensitive and the brush head is a little bit rough. It doesn't say whether you should use it everyday but I only used it three or four times a week.

  1. Hey AmyPop!,

Love this post on the Cleansing brush!

I use the Clarisonic Cleansing brush, and I love it, it looks simular to this one but the bristles on the brush are alot shorter!
On of the big positives about it is that you can change the brush heads depending on what kind of skin you have and wt type of cleanse you want. It waterproof and has its own rechargeable stand so doesnt involve any wires or batteries. (It lasts a long time without needing to be charged!!... if you are useing it everyday id say once a week)

However I did pay £150 for it but I definetly recommend it and leaves my skin feeling massaged, clean and soft! I think that when it comes to the face its definetly worth investing in sometimes the more expensive products.

heres the website and try it out X
