Superdrug Deep Cleansing Clay Mask

Thursday, 19 September 2013

My skin seems to hates me at the moment so in an effort to out things right I am on a deep cleansing mission! I will be doing a few skin care posts for you as and when I find products that help sort my skin out! I wanted to try a clay mask to deep cleanse my skin as I have been breaking out on my forehead. I have quite dry skin in places, so I wanted something that would unclog my pores and keep me hydrated too. I picked up this mask from my local Superdrug. It is from their own range of skin care. This particular mask caught my eye as it contains Aloe Vera, which is a great ingredient to hydrate the skin.

I first cleansed my skin with my usual face wash and then applied a thin even layer all over my face. It is always recommended that you avoid the eye area. I then left the mask on my skin for 15 minutes to harden up. After 15 minutes I used warm water and a cloth and gently removed the mask.

As this mask hardens as you wear it, it begins to make your skin feel really tight. However once its washed off there is no tight feeling at all. I noticed instantly that my pores appeared reduced after just one use. My skin felt very smooth to touch and looked brighter. Sometimes with deep cleansing products your skin ends up feeling very dry however with this mask it didn't feel dry at all.

It's early days as to whether this product will make a huge impact to the imperfections on my skin at the moment but it was a pleasure to use. There is something very relaxing about putting on a face mask. I liked the fact that my skin didn't feel stripped bare and left bone dry, instead it was super clean but still hydrated. There are a few different masks in their range to suit different skin types and your different needs. At £2.59 I don't think you can go wrong with this.

Available in Superdrug instore and online
