The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder- Deep Matte

Saturday, 28 September 2013

The Body Shop's cosmetic line is something I have never really tried before. As I said in previous posts they recently had a 40% off sale so I took full advantage of the situation!

The Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder comes in four matte shades, light (01), fair (02), medium (03) and deep (04). I chose the deep one as I personally like a strong contour and it means you use less product rather than having to layer a lighter shade on.

The packaging is typical compact with a nice sized mirror on the lid. This bronzer has a very pretty honeycomb design embossed onto the powder reflecting on the fact that this product is enriched with Community Fair Trade honey from Bezamar in Ethiopia.

Deep (04) is a dark warm toned brown shade. I was a little apprehensive that it may be a little too warm for my skin, but I was pleasantly applied when I applied it to my skin. It gave my skin a beautiful healthy glow that was warm toned but not in any way orange. It made contouring effortless when I used it with my MAC 186 (favourite contouring brush) and blended out wonderfully.

The texture of this powder is incredibly smooth and because of this applies very evenly to the skin. It wears very well and lasted for about 6-7 hours without any patchiness. After about 7 I noticed very slight patchiness on the cheeks.

This is a great little bronzer to have. It does a fabulous job of contouring as well as all over bronzing. As it is matte, this doesn't make you look muddy that shimmery bronzers can sometimes do. The selection that Body Shop offer means that there is a shade for everyone. If you are very pale 01 and 02 would be great shades to choose. If you are light, medium or have olive skin 03 or 04 would work best depending on how dark you like your bronzer to be. I will say that Body Shop's cosmetics are on the more expensive end of the high street but this product is worth the money in my opinion.

The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder is available in store or online for £13.
