Duo Fibre Eye Brush

This is a limited edition collection (available for a year from the 20th May 2013) from Real Techniques, featuring three duo fibre brushes for the face and eyes. As with all of their brushes, they are made with synthetic hair and are 100% cruelty free. I am already a huge fan of Real Techniques and own several of their brushes, my favourite being the Expert Face Brush which makes my foundation application an absolute dream.

The Face Brush is the largest of the three and is designed for the application and blending of face powder or pigments. This is a big brush with very soft bristles. I use this brush to powder my entire face and makes it effortless. Because of the way the bristles are arranged, this brush gives you a beautifully light application.

The Contour Brush is the second largest brush and is designed for sculpting and contouring (hence the name!) This brush works really well with cream and powder products. When using this brush with powders, I find it gives me a light and controlled application. I actually prefer using this brush with cream products. This brush is perfect size and shape to chisel out my cheekbones and to apply blush to the apples of my cheeks. It blends cream products seamlessly and  gives me an airbrushed look. If you have a heavy hand when it comes to applying blush this brush will make it hard to get it wrong.

The Eye Brush is the smallest in the trio and is designed for finishing touches to the eyes. This brush has long bristles that comes to a rounded tip. This brush is made for blending eye shadows, and makes easy work of getting rid of those harsh edges we all loathe. I use this brush to place colour into my crease which is easily buildable as desired. I sometimes use this brush to place a cream base to my lids, as it is synthetic it doesn't soak up any of the product.

This is another great collection from Real Techniques. If you love duo fibre brushes and the sheer finish that they achieve then you will love this collection. They are light and comfortable to hold and are really easy to wash clean and I haven't had any problems with shedding. If I had to pick one brush from the collection I would choose the Eye Brush as it is the most reached for out of the three. I love how it blends my eye shadow seamlessly.

The Real Techniques Duo Fibre Collection is available in Boots now for a limited time only for £23.99

  6. Hello! Just started following your blog and so glad I did, really enjoy your posts!
I am thinking about buying Real Techniques brushes and am not sure which of the sets to buy. Which of the kits would you most recommend? Would you advise buying the regular collections as well as this Duo Fiber one?

    Thanks!

  7. I love all Real Techniques brushes. They stock a few different sets to choose from. I believe one is face brushes and the other is for the eyes. They also have single brushes too. My absolute faves are the expert face brush and the setting brush. If you don't own many brushes I would maybe suggest the sets? I hope this helped! Thankyou for following and reading! xxx
