Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms | Audacious & Elusive

Sunday, 4 May 2014

I have been eyeing up the Revlon matte balms since they launched but I just couldn't decide which colours to try out! I've been feeling super summery lately so I decided to go for Audacious and Elusive. They where also buy one get one half price in Superdrug which is an added bonus! Here's how I got on.

Audacious is a very beautiful bright coral shade. Its super bright and almost looks neon. This colour was the first to catch my eye as its such a summery colour. As you may know orange lips are a really big trend this season so I thought I would try this shade as its a little bit more wearable than a full on orange. This shade will look absolutely stunning with tanned skin.

Elusive is a muted dusky rose shade with cool undertone. t's a much more wearable shade than Audacious and will look good on just about everyone.

These balms come in a convenient pen style form which I really like and are great for throwing into you bag when your on the go. I also love the way the packaging is the same shade as the lip colour which makes it really easy to find especially if you're like me and own lots of makeup.

The formula is super creamy for a matte and glide on to your lips with ease. The also feel more much more comfortable to wear than traditional matte formulas which can be quite stiff and dry. If you have any dry patches on your lips these balms will definitely settle into them so its always best to apply them after a lip balm. in terms of being longevity of wear, I don't think these last as well as other matte formula's,but I was almost expecting this as they are so creamy. I need to re-apply after about three hours or if I'm eating or drinking and they do leave a slight stain behind.

I do really enjoy these balms and I will be using them to death this summer. Especially Audacious! They are a really easy to wear matte formula with a much more creamy feel which is perfect for those of you who hate how dry and stiff some matte lipsticks can be. Revlon have a great colour selection from bright purples to nudes so there should be a shade for everyone.

The Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms are available online and in-store from Boots and Superdrug

Let me know in the comments if you have tried the matte balms and your opinions!
